Douglas Pitt, fondly called Doug, was born into the family of William Alvin Pitt, a real estate guru who also owned a truck firm, and Jane Etta Pitt, a school counsellor, in Springfield, Missouri. Before Douglas, they had Brad Pitt, the star actor, and Julie Neal, Douglas’ younger sister. Though Brad is three years older, they (Brad and Doug) look like an identical twin. Douglas attended Kickapoo High School before he furthered at Southwest Missouri State University where he got his first degree in 1990.

This astute businessman started his entrepreneurship venture when he started ServiceWorld Computer Center in 1991. In 2010, ServiceWorld was awarded The SBJ Philanthropic Business of the Year. The company went on to merge with TSI GLobal in 2013. He got it back in 2017 and renamed it Pitt Technology Group. He also supported Starkey Hearing Foundation in providing hearing aids to thousands of disabled Tanzanians. And he received The Humanitarian Leadership Award from them.
In 2011, he claimed and descended from Mount Kilimanjaro, on a bike, and raised $750,000 for clean water projects in East Africa. He did it again in 2013 and raised $250,000 for clean water.
