Douglas Pitt Philanthropy

Douglas is handsome with a heart of gold. I wonder why he cut off his wings because this cutie is an Angel. Nobody fights hunger and poverty better than him. He even does it better than most governments in the world.

Mr Pitt established Care To Learn in 2008, a foundation designed to “funds emergent health, hunger, and hygiene needs for children”. This foundation seems to major in his hometown. Because an accumulated of over 1,000,000 children who cannot afford to go to school in Missouri have gotten scholarships from Care To Learn.

Due to his humanitarian nature, he got the title, “Goodwill Ambassador” from the Republic of Tanzania”. Doug is very much interested in East Africa. He built 1,500 water projects in Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia as a Board Member of WorldServe International.

However, he didn’t stop there, he partnered with Convoy of Hope to serve the less privileged in remote areas. I think he is one of the few that has a foundation and still partners with other foundations just to put a smile on people living in remote places.

He also supported Starkey Hearing Foundation in providing hearing aids to thousands of disabled Tanzanians. And he received The Humanitarian Leadership Award from them.

In 2011, he claimed and descended from Mount Kilimanjaro, on a bike, and raised $750,000 for clean water projects in East Africa. He did it again in 2013 and raised $250,000 for clean water.
