Welcome to another episode of our daily bible study. Today’s topic is; “It is never too late to start afresh.” Keep watching.
In the previous episode of our daily bible nugget, we discussed the topic that says; “Don’t give up, for divine intervention is on the way.” We learnt that, in all the 10 plagues that God brought upon the Egyptians, it was the first child death plague that prompted Pharaoh to let the Israelites go.
This plague happened to be the last plague. From the first to the last plague, Pharaoh did not yield. The Israelites were waiting and hoping for the turning point, until the tenth plague. For all periods the nine plagues ravaged Egypt, it was like nothing is going to happen. But at the tenth plague, the music took a different rhythm and tone.
It was after the tenth plague that Pharaoh drove the Israelites out of his nation.
From this narrative, we learned that, sometimes our expectations may tarry, but at the right time, God will intervene and save the day, therefore we should be patient and wait on the Lord, for His divine intervention is on the way. This very previous episode of our daily bible study is laden with message of hope that urges us not to give up, but to wait patiently for God’s divine intervention.
If you have not watched the video, it is in the playlist, endeavor to watch it and build your faith with it.
In today’s episode, we will discuss the topic that says; “It is never too late to start afresh.”
In the book of Exodus chapter 12 verse 2, God said to Moses and Aaron saying, this month is to be for you the first month, the first month of your year.
What this means that, whatever month the Israelites have been counting as the first month of the year will cease to be the first month of the year from that very day.
This very statement in the book of Exodus chapter 12 verse 2 has a profound lesson for everyone.
No matter what your past has been, no matter how awful your past was, you can still start afresh. No time is too late to make things right for it is not over yet.
So many people have a terrifying past that have agonizing memories. But what today’s daily bible nugget is teaching us, is that, we can always start life all over again. You don’t have to give up, and you don’t have to commit suicide. You only need to dust yourself and rise again. God is still interested in you; you can have a new beginning, just as the Israelites had when they were freed from slavery in Egypt, and this time around, it is going to be great.
Do not make yourself a victim of circumstances. You are made in the image of God; hence, you are God’s handiwork. Take a deep breath, summon courage and rise up for you can start up again and be victorious.
In everything you do, don’t forget; it is never too late to start again. We are humans, we make mistakes. But we can learn from them and forge ahead.
Life is a marathon, not a sprint. Therefore, I urge you to pick strength from this very daily bible nugget and start afresh for the best is yet to come.
May God give us the strength to start afresh and fight to the finish when all other supports fail us. Amen.
